Fishing in the Os River

The Os River is a well-known salmon river, and one of two or three salmon rivers in Hordaland that still has not been destroyed in one way or another. The original salmon population is increasing, as well as the catch. During the last few years, the catch has totalled approximately two or three tons of salmon and sea trout.

Fishing licenses and fees. To buy a local fishing license, you must have a receipt for payment of the governmental fishing rights fee which costs NOK 235. This fee can be paid at the post office or at www. dirnat.no or www.inatur.no.
